At the exhibiton opening of Abramović Method for Treasures the world-famous performance artist will speak of the artwork customized specifically to the Royal Danish Library. After the presentation in the Queen's Hall, you can enjoy a glass of wine and steal a glance at the exhibit.

This summer, the Royal Library will present an all-new work by the world-famous Serbian-born performance artist Marina Abramović. Her new work, Abramović Method for Treasures, is created especially for the exhibition of selected treasures from the library in The Black Diamond.

For this exhibition, Marina Abramović has developed an entirely new version of her 'Abramović Method'. Taking her starting point in sources such as the letters of Kierkegaard, Saxo’s chronicles of Danish history, and the observations of Tycho Brahe, Abramović has created an immersive total installation that includes a range of rituals, an audio system and specially designed shelves for people.  Read more about Abramović Method for Treasures.

For the opening event you actors will populate the installation, and guests for the opening will be able to get a sneak peek.

Please note:

The exhibition will be open to the general public from 21 June. You will not be able to experience the installation yourself for the opening event, but get a sneek peak into the space.

You must be a seperate ticket to see the the exhibtion itself at a later date. Read more about getting tickets for the exhibition

Marina Abramović will also appear on the International Authors’ Stage on 21 June at 20.00 to present the Danish edition of her autobiography, Walking Through Walls, available on 1 June.
