Based on a true story

Delphine de Vigan had her international breakthrough with the autobiographical novel Rien ne s’oppose à la nuit (Nothing holds back the Night), which sold more than a million copies in her own country and was published all over the world.

After the success she wanted to start writing a new novel – apparently also autobiographical. What does one write after a bestseller? How does one move forward? Precisely while Delphine de Vigan is weighing up such considerations, she meets the charismatic L., who rapidly becomes an important part of her life. And L. has his own fixed ideas about what au author ought to write now.

Based on a true story is a gripping literary thriller that tips its hat to Stephen King’s Misery

This event is held in French with Danish summaries.

In collaboration with People's Press, The French Embassy,  Institut Français du Danemark and Hotel Admiral.
