Workshop 3

On October 26th 2007, the hprints Advisory Board decided which of the three candidate IR systems that will be used as a basis for the e-print archive for the Nordic arts and humanities: I.e. EPrints, LUR or  HAL. The choice fell on HAL from the french research council, CNRS.

The starting point of the discussion was the ability of the various software to support the policy and technical requirements that were the outcome of Workshop 1 and Workshop 2, as well as the economical and practical sustainability of the project. A brief test report on the evaluation of the systems was written by the P.I.
